Aunt Vickie Comes to Visit

An Exciting day is when Aunt Vickie comes to visit. It just occurred to me that it was a whole year ago that she was here to help me out while Kaitlyn was born. Today she made a very special trip to visit Kaitlyn for her birthday. She brought Kaitlyn her very first ride-on toy. No more hand-me-downs for her in this area. It was the perfect gift!!

Even though it was a short visit, we all enjoyed it. Hopefully it wont have to be so long until the next time.

Just Having Fun In the Backyard

Both kids just seem to love it when I go out into the backyard armed with my camera. I just sit in the backyard while they play. Seems like I get the best pictures when I do this. We all walk away with the best memories.

Finally, Kaitlyn has decided to dig into her birthday cake. Guess she didn't want to do it with everyone watching. She had to wait until she had some privacy, or so she thought....

Let's Celebrate Kaitlyn's 1st Birthday!!!!!

What a beautiful day for a party!!! Kaitlyn woke up just as the party started which put us both in a wonderful mood for the day. Our friends and some family were there to help us celebrate her big day. Some some was had and then lunch and cake. It was a time to make memories!!
There was a jumper in the back yard which was a big hit for the kids.

All Ready For A Party!

Wow, hard for me to wrap my brain around the fact that Kaitlyn is already one. Seems like just yesterday I brought her home for the first time. She is such a delight and has always been an easy and good baby. Now at one, I can tell she is a girl of independence and strong willed. She likes to do things on her own, no baby stuff for her! She is a beauty inside and out.

Okay, so on with the party. I spent some time making all the decorations and cakes to distract myself from the fact that my little girl is really turning one. It worked, and no tears were shed until the day of her party.

Are We Always Sick???

It seemed like someone in my family has been sick all winter long. We just start saying goodbye to that last cold or flu and another one has come to entertain us. Along the way, I took this picture of my poor sweet Kaitlyn during one of those sick days.



Since I am so far behind in my blogging, I have been going back through pictures and have discovered that most of April and some of May were mostly sick days spent at home. Though we did spend too much time in front of the TV, we also spent some fun moments in the back yard. Needless to say, I now have tons and tons of pictures of the kids playing in the back yard.
