More Art Work

Zachary hasn't really been feeling great the past couple of days due to tummy problems. And because of this, he was very clingy today. I was trying hard to finish up shampooing my carpets. This task normally takes me 2 days, but this time it took me 6 days. Today, I can officially say I done and even with him following me around, holding onto the back of my shirt while sucking his thumb.

Last week we took our first trip to Lakeshore Learning Center and of course I spent a fortune. Zachary left crying because he didn't want to leave. He just wanted to look at everything! So to even things out for him today, we broke out the markers and he drew on his white board. It turned out to be a good lesson on colors and fine motor skills. He found great entertainment in putting the lids on and off. He more or less tolerated having to name the colors for me.

He looks like such a serious little artist here.

Zachary hasn't wanted to wear clothes around the house lately. His "naked time" is becoming very important to him. So why the smock? It's my attempt to create a habit so he knows he as to wear it when ever he is doing his projects. So far so good. In the picture he is trying to figure out what color I asked him to get. He did pretty good. He knows 4 colors now.

And here is the finished product.

  1. Kathy - Just to let you know how very much I'm enjoying your blog and photos of Zachary. What a great way for me to get to know my little Grandnephew from clear across the country. You are having such a good time being his mom. Good for you! Savor every moment, they go by too fast! Aunt Kay
