A Trip to Sea World

We were lucky enough to take a two night trip to San Diego to visit Sea World. I actually didn't take many pictures on this trip, guess we were too busy having fun to think of the camera much. Even though the summer has been packed full of events, it felt good to get away for a few days. We spent two full days at Sea World and both kids did great! We even stayed for the night Shamu show and fireworks. That was a bit challenging, but I am glad we stayed to see the show.

A huge highlight to the trip was taking an extra tour, the penguin experience. It was an hour tour that allowed us to go into the back side of the exhibit and see the penguins up close. During our summer, the penguins normal habitat is winter and would be mostly dark, so Sea World recreates this environment for them. So needless to say, lights were kept down low and no flash photos allowed. The pictures didn't turn out so well, but I had to share them anyway. It was such a wonderful experience for us all.
