Beach Days

The weather has turned HOT, so we have been making our way to the beach. Now that I am taking my own children to the beach, it reminds me of the many days I spent on the same beach in my youth. I hope they can look back at their beach days with the same fondness. These trips also have given me great respect for my Mom. Every summer we would trek to the beach at least twice a week. Sometimes, she would take just the three of us, but most often, our friends came along. I have found our trips enjoyable by exhausting.

Both Zachary and Kaitlyn love the beach. I think both would prefer to be at the water's edge the entire time. With a ton of urging, I did get them to play in the sand for a short time.

Here is the look I get when Zachary is told "no, you can't go to the water right now"

I love it when they play together nicely

The aching looks to go into the surf. Which was terribly strong today

My attempt of giving them lunch with as little sand as possible. I gave up and I'm sure much sand was eaten by my sand queen.

Zachary was a bit more cooperative
