Father's Day

In our household, can't say we really celebrate Father's Day. After 3 years of contemplating how to handle this day, I am still at a loss. In the years to come, I would really like to make it a day of celebration and not a day of sadness over someone that isn't in our lives. I realize they are too young to know the difference right now, but as each Father's Day passes, I ponder this thought.

This year, the day was a beautiful and tailor made for outside play, and what better fun than to pull out the pools. Just seeing those smiles and hearing the giggles and squeals made it a wonderful day for me.

And after all the fun play, we took a few moments to make a special gift for me since Mother's Day was kind of forgotten this year.

Kaitlyn investigating and destroying a tiny flower

I just love a picture with a beautiful smile

Not only was this fun for Zachary, but it kept Kaitlyn from climbing the slide

The gift I had the kids do for me.

I just love this idea and plan on doing it again and again
