Christmas Tree, Oh, Christmas Tree....

This Christmas feels very special to me because it is Kaitlyn's first Christmas with us. And it is the first Christmas that Zachary really knows what is going on. Because of these two facts, I could hardly wait to get the Christmas celebrations under way. So, for the first time, I put up my tree early. Never has my tree been up before December 1st!!!

All ready to go get out Christmas tree

Zachary was so very excited at the idea of going to pick out a tree and actually bring it home and put it up in the house. He wasn't much into the picking it out, but rather enjoyed running all through the trees. Kaitlyn was oh, so patient, and enjoyed the walk with Mommy.

Here we are actually all together for a moment

Decorating a tree with a youngster is quite an endeavor. Being a perfectionist, I normally take my time and each ornament has to be in just the right spot. Well......not this year!!!! Our tree was decorated in lightning speed. All I remember it just trying to stay one second ahead of Zachary so that nothing would get broken. Though every ornament wasn't in it's perfect spot, the tree was beautiful and more memorable than ever before.

Later that night, we all put our one special ornament on the tree. We each make a Christmas wish as we place it on the tree. Zachary took great pleasure in this. Through out the rest of the Christmas season, Zachary enjoyed finding each of his and Kaitlyn's ornaments. It seemed to mean the world to him that they each had their very own ornaments on the tree.
