Kaitlyn's First Teddy Bear

My Grandmother is a great lover of Teddy Bears. Her house is filled with them! She has had a tradition of giving all her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren their first teddy bear. For Zachary's first teddy bear I thought it would be fun to get it from the Build-a-Bear Workshop. So to keep the tradition going we took a return trip to the Build-a-Bear-Workshop at Downtown Disney to get Kaitlyn's teddy bear.

We all had a fun time at making her bear. Zachary was able to help fill the bear with stuffing

And then we all put a heart into the bear giving it all our love and best wishes to Kaitlyn. This was all a bit confusing to Zachary, but he is always so willing to join in with the fun.

Here I am with my Grandma picking out the clothes for the bear. I'm showing her a little pair of pink panties.

And here is my Grandma with the finished Teddy Bear all ready for Kaitlyn to arrive!

I decided that we couldn't leave without Zachary getting a little something too. So he was allowed to pick out a small teddy bear for himself. We showed him some he could pick out of, and he went over and pick one all on his own. He now has carried is around with him all day and has to take it to bed with him.

To complete our tradition, we stopped for lunch at the Rainforest Restaurant. Zachary did really well. He actually ate a great lunch!!

And of course, his Great Grandma had to spoil him so we got the Volcano Sunday. All Zachary could say was "YUMMY!!!"

This was really a fun day for us all and one I will treasure for years to come.
